Now I don’t know about you all but I am so ready for the cooler weather to roll in. Cooler weather only reminds me of the wonderful fall flavors such as apple and pumpkin. This morning I made a delicious breakfast that I wanted to share with you. I made Apple Pie Oatmeal, take a peek….

Here’s what you’ll need:

1/2 cup rolled oats (I use gluten free rolled oats)

3/4 cup almond milk

1/2 small apple diced

1 tsp pure maple syrup or a sweetener of your choice

1 tbsp ground flax seed

4-5 dashes of apple pie spice

Mix all of the ingredients above in a microwave safe bowl and microwave on high for 2 minutes. Once the 2 minutes is up, mix the oatmeal mixture and microwave for an additional minute. Once your oatmeal is done, allow to cool a little and top with plain non-fat greek yogurt, one extra dash of apple pie spice, sliced almonds or a nut of your choice and even add the other half of your small diced apple and enjoy!
