When I’m not working out with the videos that Coach Kozak has, I obviously workout with Coach K himself. Of course on Friday’s when I’m working my normal 9-5 job and hit up the grocery store after, the absolute LAAAAAAST thing I want to do is workout. As evidenced by my face here…
Not to mention, I was hungry and craving some sweets. Ladies…you know what I mean when it’s almost that time of the month. *wink, wink*
But hey, against my will, I made to the gym anyway!
So, I’ve been training for a 15K I have coming up in February and last week during one of my 5 mile runs, I began to have a painful sensation in my left foot. The one I injured before my marathon last year when I tore my plantar fascia. Now I’m an avid heel wearer and I’ve been ordered out of heels indefinitely while training. All this being said, I now I’m back to rehabbing and icing it on the regular. I’ve been doing a variety of calf raises, foot flexes, and foam rolling on my feet to help strengthen and warm up.
-Barbell row and shoulder shrug x5 (Barbell was 35 pounds with 10 pounds on either side)
-Tricep dips x3
-Bulgarian split squats, five on each leg for a total of 10 holding 10 pound dumbbells in each hand
-1 minute, all out sprint on the AMT machine
Repeat 5Xs
I did this without breaks and kept up my pace as to rev up my heart rate. Took forever to catch my breath when I was done but so glad I got a fast, effective workout in. See, not so bad afterall…..
Let’s not forget to include a pic you know who….and he must have worked out because he’s all sweaty but what he did for a workout, I have no clue. 🙂
