Clean Eating with Claudia’s healthy chocolate covered strawberries uses a vegan chocolate sauce and are only 46 calories per serving. It may be hard to believe that something so delectable can actually be a healthy dessert, but it’s true!
Healthy Dessert Recipes Ingredients:
12 Organic Strawberries
¼ cup unsweetened cacao powder
2 tbsp melted coconut oil
1 tbsp maple syrup
¼ tsp vanilla extract
Optional Toppings:
Unsweetened shredded coconut
Chopped almonds
Vegan Chocolate Covered Strawberries Preparation:
In a bowl melt the two tablespoons of coconut oil either in the microwave or on a stove top using the water bath method. To the melted coconut oil, whisk in the vanilla and maple syrup. Once combined, add the liquid to the unsweetened cacao powder and whisk until the dry cacao is completely combined with the liquid ingredients. Dredge and spin your strawberries or desired fruit through the chocolate until covered on all sides. Sprinkle with the toppings of your choice such as unsweetened shredded coconut or chopped almonds / walnuts. Refrigerate to harden or enjoy immediately.
