Garbanzo Bean Cookies Ingredients:
1 – 15 oz can chickpeas (garbanzo beans)
1/4 cup almond butter or natural peanut butter
1/4 cup maple syrup, honey, or agave nectar
1 teaspoon baking powder
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1/2 cup chocolate chips
Healthy Dessert Recipes Preparation:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Drain and rinse your chickpeas once you’ve removed them from the can. In a high powered blender or food processor, blend the first 5 ingredients until smooth, scraping down the sides as to incorporate all of the ingredients, once combined, fold the chocolate chips into the batter.
Take a tablespoon of batter and place it onto your baking dish lined with parchment paper or sprayed with a non-stick cooking spray and flatten the dough. Bake for approximately 10-12 minutes or until a light golden brown.
